Bellerose

It is an unequalled delight when a chosen path leads to an unexpected destination. At the request of Bellerose, Ben Storms designed these four consoles for their four Parisian stores, each one unique. In doing so, he initially departed from his by now well-known Inhale Series. 

In the process, however, the typical metal pillow-like form grew in volume, becoming a six-sided beam with welded seams that was first kept intact and then crushed under the weight of a natural stone. The result is a distinctive variation on a recurring theme, each time with a shiny stainless steel base that matches the shape of the stone at the top, the weight of what it carries resonating in the dented sides. 

The individuality of each console lies not only in the shape of the stone and how it interacts with the base, but also in the type of stone. To achieve this, Ben used Malachite Green, Breccia Pontificia, Grand Antique and Breccia Viola, all types of marble, each with its own expressive power.
